Namaste and Welcome to Friends of Nepal!

Friends of Nepal provides a platform and network for our members- folks who love Nepal - to connect with each other and to Nepal, while assisting with village community development efforts in concrete, appropriate, inclusive and currently-relevant ways. Friends of Nepal celebrates and promotes Nepali peoples and cultures.

Anyone with an interest in being a friend to one of the most beautiful, diverse and welcoming countries in the world is welcome and encouraged to join!

We began as an affiliate group for returned Nepal Peace Corps volunteers and staff (learn more about Peace Corps here). However, we welcome anyone who has a close connection to Nepal, whether through travel, work, research, or family.

We support Nepali communities through our annual grants program. We also publish a bi-annual newsletter about our grant projects and current events in Nepal.

Our Mission

The Mission of Friends of Nepal is to provide a platform and network for our membership - people who love Nepal - to maintain their connection to Nepal and to each other, while continuing efforts to promote village Community Development in Nepal, and promoting Nepali peoples and cultures.
